Back in the 1990s, in recognition of Bacon's role in developing the scientific method, I ambitiously proposed creating a new dating system to replace BC/AC, using his the publication of Novum Organum as year 0. So, 2025 would be 425 PNO (post Novum Organum). Of course, it didn't catch on.
